Welcome!

I’m a researcher working across the fields of digital cultures, digital inclusion, youth and peacebuilding as well as research impact and evaluation. I’m currently based at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) where I am working as a postdoctoral researcher.

I hold a PhD in Communication from Universitat Pompeu Fabra – Barcelona, Spain (2021), an MA in International Studies on Media, Power and Difference from the same university (2017), and a BA in Translation and Interpreting Studies from Bogazici University, Istanbul (2016).

Prior to my current position, I worked as a graduate teaching and research assistant in the Department of Communication at UPF and I was a research affiliate at the Institute of Research for Peace and Dialogue in Kigali, Rwanda.

My research appears in Journal of Youth Studies, Information, Communication & Society and Convergence: The International Journal of Research into New Media Technologies. I’m in the process of writing my first book tentatively titled “Digital inclusion of youth for everyday peace: Opportunities and constraints”

I presented my work at international conferences such as the International Communication Association (ICA), International Studies Association (ISA), International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA). I have been also invited to share my work by organizations and initiatives such as Young Peacebuilders of Turkey, Decolonizing Education for Peace in Africa Network and Espai Soceitat Oberta.

I’m open to collaborations, projects and consultancy on digital cultures and inclusion, youth and peacebuilding, child online protection, and research impact and evaluation! Please contact me here if you are interested.
